Hey guys,

Here is one of my favorite quotes…it’s sort of fate that, well not fate but I just knew today it needed to be posted.  I was told this quote twice yesterday by two different people.  So here it is,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
From the Movie Coach Carter and Akeelah and the BEE
You are powerful….so is your body.  It’s potential is greater than you could imagine.  What you have to remember that we all so easily forget is that we only have one body.  God gave us one and we need to treat it right!  When it needs food, give it the right food, not a soda or a candy bar.  You and your body are on the same team.  It seems that we play for the opposing team.  We are the bullies.  We fill our bodies with things that are not going to give us the results we truly desire.

Your body is a temple.  Treat it that way.  Fuel it correctly.  That means eating lots of fruits and veggies, meats, beans, nuts, small amounts of sugar and drinking plenty of water.  Plenty of water is .5-1 oz. of water per pound of body weight.  Eating after exercise is so crucial.  Within 45 minutes get food…your body needs it.  Challenge yourself to play on the same team that your body is, treat it well.  Eat cleanly, drink your water, exercise, sleep, sleep, sleep….allow your body to recover.

We work hard in here.  If you are working your tail off but not sleep or eating correctly you are taking 2 steps back and one step forward.  Let’s get our ducks in a row and make these workouts really count…don’t kill yourself in here and then not take care of your body the rest of the day.  Remember it’s the only one you have love it!!!

Take the next step…you know what it is.
